Check local PBS listings for "Great Performances: PAVAROTTI, A Life in Seven Arias."  It's a very well done piece - part documentary, part concert, part interview - on Pavarotti's life and career, set around his seven most famous arias.  It does get a bit heart-breaking near the end.  But, whether or not you're an opera fan, it's an excellent tribute to an extraordinary singer.
